BRUSSELS (Dow Jones)–The European Union set out proposals Monday to
tighten the region’s anti-corruption efforts in a move which aims to
give Brussels greater authority in naming and shaming member states.

Calling for “stronger policies and stronger results”, European
Commissioner for Home Affairs, Cecilia Malmstrom, proposed a package of
measures aimed at reinforcing member states anti-corruption policies.
